If the standard reports don't quite fit your needs, why not create your own using our powerful, custom designed reporting tool to address your reporting needs.
Easy-To-Learn User Interface
ReportQuest uses a Microsoft style user interface, complete with speed menus and docking toolbars. This greatly reduces the learning curve. The Report Explorer looks after organisation of data, code and reports. The interface for this is identical to Windows Explorer, so there is little to learn.
Wizard Approach
ReportQuest provides a visual, easy-to-use solution to data access, report layout, and report output. The Query Wizard and Designer provide a visual interface and generate an SQL query behind the scenes. Users can create a report layout either by using the inbuilt Report Wizard or by using a drag and drop facility, and then Preview the generated report. Together these Wizards make for highly interactive and productive report creation sessions.
Web Integration
Once you have designed your report, you can publish it to an Intranet by simply saving the report in HTML format. Numerous other output formats are supported, including Excel, csv and Adobe's pdf. This makes the distribution and/or consolidation of reports in larger, multi site organisations a simple job.
Email capability
Reports can be e-mailed with or without data attached. This means that you can e-mail a report structure that can be used by lots of different people and against different databases.
UDA Reporting
User Defined Analysis is a powerful feature within Workbench. You can produce reports on all user defined analysis fields with ReportQuest.
Security
ReportQuest adheres to a strict security model. If you are unable to view a document in Workbench, then you will not be able to view it via ReportQuest - a major benefit over using standard third party reporting tools. ReportQuest security also uses a Folder and sub folder approach so that access may be restricted to users, or groups of users as necessary.
Labels and Mail Merging
Labels - Need to send a mail out to all your customers held inside your Workbench database? You can create label runs for this, and for many other areas in Workbench using ReportQuest.
Mail Merging - You can use mail merging within ReportQuest to, say, automatically generate a standard letter of a complaint acknowledgement containing details that have already been logged in your Customer Care module.
Summary
Besides being a top notch reporting and analysis tool in its own right, ReportQuest's respect for Workbench security settings make it a must for customers where the security of sensitive data is an issue. Third party reporting tools simply cannot do this - once a conduit to the database is established by these products (normally using ODBC) the report designer has completely unfettered access to any data, irrespective of his or her system permissions.
