June 2006 saw IdeaGen visiting PQ Systems in Dayton, Ohio, US. Bill Bowes from IdeaGen met with Professor Mike Cleary and Joe Paulos from PQ Systems for a three day visit.
During June 2006, Bill Bowes of Ideagen Software paid a visit to the USA to introduce the latest release of Workbench Professional to their US Distributor, PQ Systems of Dayton, Ohio.
Although a short visit of three days a lot was crammed in to the visit, including a 1000 mile round trip to see one of the largest customers of Workbench Pro in the United States, Gilbarco Veeder-Root of Greensboro, North Carolina.
The visit, arranged by Joe Paulos of PQ Systems, together with Mike Cleary, was to meet Caroline Rackley, and her Quality team at their main manufacturing plant in Greensboro. The latest release of Workbench Professional 2006 SP1 patch 3 was installed while we were there, and a minor issue with the external e-mail was quickly resolved, much to the delight of Caroline, who had been receiving some flack about it.
Gilbarco Veeder-Root are the main manufacturers of Petrol Station forecourt dispensing equipment (petrol pumps), and provide this equipment to all the major Petrol Station operators around the world.
Caroline is a major user of Workbench Professional and she controls the system from her offices in Greensboro.
Workbench is well received within the Gilbarco Group, and is accessed from all the major Gilbarco facilities around the world in such areas as Mexico, Argentina, many states around the USA, and also from their European plants. Gilbarco ustilise many of the features of Workbench Professional, with NCR's and Document Control being the most popular with Audits, Customer Care and Training following close behind.
After the visit to North Carolina, further sessions were arranged within PQ Systems, at their offices in Dayton, Ohio, to bring all their sales team up to scratch with the latest release of the software. Once again the new version of Workbench Professional was well received and did spark many pointsTony Saunders, Managing Director of IdeaGen thanks Mike and Joe and all staff of PQ Systems on behalf of IdeaGen for making sure Bill was looked after during his stay and we all look forward to new future opportunities together.
