IdeaGen generates many thousand CD's and DVD's every year for product updates / marketing information and the like.
While this isn't costly per CD as such, it does add to the growing CO2 emissions during manufacture and disposal.
To this end we are trying to move to a minimal CD policy by ensuring you can get access to updates on the Support Website and giving you the option of creating your own CD if necessary.
If you still want a CD you can have one sent to you, but we are asking you for a small donation of £25 for this. IdeaGen will be donating this cost to environmentally sensitive projects and charities.
This year, our Managing Director has planted 337 native hedging plants in the Peak District as
part of our efforts to help
return some of the traditional hedgerows back to our landscape.
These include Hawthorn, Briar, Hazel, Field Maple, Dogwood and Spindle.
A further 60 trees are to be planted in the next two months including Birch, Downey Birch
and Alder.
These provide valuable habitat for birds, insects and mammals. There is a thriving local
wild deer population, badgers, foxes and hares. Birds include Siskins, Jays, the common
Sparrow (rarer than it used to be), finches and at present, many Robins.
There are also a pair of breeding buzzards on our nearby hillside.
Thank you for supporting us in our efforts to keep the Peak Park rural.
