Test and CalibrationThe Workbench Test and Calibration module is used in many diverse environments, from asset tracking to full laboratory equipment calibration. It has been designed to offer complete traceability on all test results and equipment usage - a major requirement for any Compliance Management System in manufacturing or servicing processes.

Our customers use the Test and Calibration module for a wide variety of applications. These range from the testing of highly sensitive laboratory equipment to the maintenance of service schedules for a fleet of company vehicles.

The business case is two-fold. Firstly to protect your company’s investment in what is usually very expensive capital equipment, and secondly to ensure that all equipment is well maintained and fit for its intended purpose.

The Test and Calibration module is flexible. Use it for any capital asset that requires regular testing, re-calibrating or servicing. Examples include machine tools, vehicles, measuring equipment and laboratory instruments.

  • Full test history built up on equipment items including manufacturer/supplier details and log of all the jobs and locations
  • Full audit trail of tests, test results and any remedial re-working or re-calibration required.
  • Maintain full subsidiary information on suppliers and manufacturers.
     

Test Templates and Schedules.
 

  • Tests are defined as templates so that they can be 're-used’.
  • On-line scheduling of tests, including recurring tests at defined intervals.
  • Any number of tests per equipment item, any number of measurements per test.
  • Optional environment variables may be defined for any test, eg. ambient temperature. Tests will fail if these are outside the defined acceptable range.
  • Secure entry of test results - testers cannot see expected result range.
  • Define remedial actions to be taken when a given test failed.
  • Pass/ Fail conformance certificates automatically produced


Traceability
 

  • If equipment fails a test it is vital to be able to trace which jobs it has been used on.
  • Maintain a full history/audit trail of locations where equipment has been used and personnel to whom it has been booked out.
